Chicken Biryani

  1. soak basmati rice in warm water, then rince well in cold water.
  2. heat butter onion bay leaf cinnamon stick and cardamom pod in a pad until onion is soft / 10 minutes
  3. add ground tumeric, chicken breast and curry powder, cook for a couple of minutes
  4. add basmati rice, raisins, chicken stock and bring to a boil
  5. cover and reduce heat to minimum / 5 minutes
  6. turn heat off / 10 minutes
  7. top with fresh coriander and almonds
