Chilli Beef And Cheese Meat Pie

  1. fry garlic clove and onion in oil, add rump steak
  2. add cumin, cayenne pepper, black pepper
  3. add beef stock and worcestershire sauce
  4. combine cornflour and vegetable stock then add to pan
  5. simmer for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 mins or so
  6. then make base dough: add flour to bowl, make a well and put in melted butter and cold water.
  7. mix and kneed for around 5 minutes
  8. roll out to 1/2 cm thick then put in greased pie tin(s)
  9. use some rice and tinfoil to keep it in shape and bake it for 20 minutes at 160
  10. add mixture into pie, cheese on top, then brush with egg wash and fit puff pastry to the top
  11. cut some vent holes with a knife, cover will with egg wash
  12. bake for 20 minutes at 200
